Harry Maiden Ltd has remained in the same family since the business started in the 1920s. The work in those days was mainly horse shoeing, agricultural repairs and general blacksmithing. The company is now in the ownership of the 4th generation and the 5th generation is currently employed and working within the company.
Our main customers include local authorities, the building trade, pharmaceutical and oil companies. We carryout fabrications such as staircases, walkways, fire escapes, container kit-outs, skid frames, tanks, repairs to offshore equipment, steel buildings, structural steelwork, handrails, trestles, workbenches etc….
We hold an agency for B.O.C gas, where we can open new B.O.C accounts and supply account holders on a full for empty cylinder service.

This picture was taken in the early 1940s. The photo consists of Harry Maiden employees and Arburthnot Boat Builders employees working together on a project for the Ministry of Defence at Montrose Harbour during the Second World War.Harry Maiden is standing on the far right hand side of the photo and his son Harry Gordon is seated in the back row, 5th in from the left.
Our workshop and office were situation in the centre of Montrose until May 2005 when we relocated to Croft Road, Montrose.
